WRIST EXERCISES POST GRAFT

This video will go through several exercises for your wrist after a graft. If you have had a tongue glossectomy it is quite common to take a graft, artery and vein from the forearm to reconstruct the tongue. The reconstructed part is called a ‘flap’. After surgery, it is difficult to open a jar or lift a weight so do these wrist exercises after your surgery to regain strength and remove any stiffness in the wrist. All you need is a table, a half kilo weight or a can of soup and a lightweight resistance band such as a Theraband. These exercises can be done almost anywhere. The exercises are also useful for other wrist injuries but please check with your doctor or physiotherapist first.
